Radio General (Warrington Hospital Radio)

    Coronavirus
In accordance with Government advice relating to avoiding social contact and self-isolation, and recognising that amongst our volunteers & contributors are a number of individuals who fall within the high-risk groups we have made the decision to cease live broadcasting from our studio until further notice.

This doesn't mean that Radio General has gone silent, our two channels
'Radio General' and 'Radio General Extra' will continue to broadcast automated recorded programming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the Hospital and on-line, with our own eclectic mix of music, we will also broadcast the latest Independent Radio News (IRN) every hour to keep our listeners up to date.

Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by this virus and we are grateful for the healthcare workers who are attending to the sick and working tirelessly to contain the spread. Under extremely adverse circumstances we are seeing the best in people as we unite to fight this global pandemic.

The health, well-being, and safety of our volunteers, contributors, patients, partners and communities remain our highest priority. We will resume live broadcasts just as soon as we are advised that it is prudent to do so.

Please follow all Government advice during this challenging time and above all else please keep safe.

    The Team at Radio General.
